Hello you!

My little alien mascot ❀ Petal |
I’m Jasmine, a dressmaker, illustrator and story-teller based in Indonesia. Ever since I was a kid I love developing stories, drawing and designing characters and as an adult I have the priviledge to be able to make my favorite pastimes as a kid my full time job.
While my mother tongue is Bahasa Indonesia, I speak both English and Japanese [N2] fluently as I spent 6 years abroad in Japan, studying the language for 1.5 years and the art of dressmaking at one of the nation’s best vocational fashion school [大阪 MODE Gakuen] and graduated in 2021. After graduation I stayed for about 6 months and eventually came back to pursue my own dreams of creating my own label and to be closer with my family.
Why did you become an illustrator?
So during covid in 2020, I was stuck in my home country for about 3 months and was unable to go back to Osaka despite having a temporary residency there as a student. It was a stressful period of my life and I felt like I was behind compared to my friends as I was unable to job hunt, take classes, continue on assigments etcetera. Apparently I was the only student ‘stuck’ abroad and they can’t do anything about it.
I was frustrated and the only thing that made me happy were drawing. Not designing. I spent 4 years making designs almost on the daily and lost the spark of drawing for the sake of drawing until I actually drew and paint freely, not for assignments, not for anything just purely whatever that’s on my mind. That’s when I was reminded of my love for arts and on my 25th birthday, I got an iPad and since then I never stopped drawing.
Why did you become a character designer?
Making clothes take times, space and physical materials plus extra focus and discipline to make a high quality piece. When I first came back I lack the space to create and was not in the right mindset to make clothes. Something happened that affected my personal relationships and it was a difficult time for me mentally. Becoming a character designer was one of the quickest way for me to earn money while cultivating my own art and community while still exercising my knowledge and expertise in designing.
I think I was lucky to be able to work as guest artist and permanent guest artists in some of the adoptables communities and will forever be grateful for the time spent working with other creatives. I sold a lot of designs and have worked with multiple communities as Guest Artists in 2023~2025 namely Comchys, Candy Dinos, Keychain Ruas, Cutise Cult, Cossetlings 21+ and filling in the role of Permanent Guest Artist in Milqilin 18+ under my previous alt name: suikou1111.
I have since removed myself from any GA activities and only partake in communities for fun sake as I no longer wish to have ‘character design’ as my main source of income. I mainly design for my own stories and projects now. Custom commissions may open from time to time on Vgen for a limited slot as I don’t wish to do many.
Alienated Fl0wer
The name change from [suikou1111] to [alienatedfl0wer] was a personal decision and it was symbolic as I have grown to be more confident in my chosen path, but more importantly, my creations. It resonated more with me and since, I have chosen to use my own real name, Jasmine, whenever I partake in any communities.
The story behind the name is as is. Though I never lack friends and my social life was always full with meet ups, parties and gatherings, I often felt like I was the odd one out. My beliefs and my interests don’t help either as I don’t share the same beliefs as most of my peers and my view in many things tend to differ. It used to bother me a little but it’s okay though, we are our own little alien on this silly planet in the galaxy, and no creatures are the same.
Hopes and dreams, and all in betweens
All in all I’m just your average girl living with cats and her family, sharing her fantasies and inner world through drawings and writings. I love clothes and fashion, dressing up and go on silly resto or cafe trips with my sister. When I’m not drawing, I play video games, read novels or belting out a song at the Karaoke.
Now that you’ve read a few pieces of me, please don’t be a stranger when you saw me online! I hope under Alienated Flower, I could have my art and stories reach more people and that I hope that this little creations of mine could resonate and inspire others or at least makes people happy ꨄ︎
Thank you and nice to meet you!!
XX Jasmine
